Thomas Heydt-Benjamin is at home in New York.
In college my minor course of study was electronic music composition while my major was in computer science. I make art that blends elements of hacking and computer security research with analog and digital instruments. I work in a wide range of media and genre, only a few of which I will post about here. I design and build many of my own electronic instruments using techniques borrowed from my work (hacking and radio). I also use a Yamaha electric violin and a Roland Juno 106 analog synthesizer as well as a collection of acoustic and improvised electronic instruments. I use Ableton Live for mixdown and multi-track recording. If you are geeky enough you will discover that many of my digital synth lines are actually downsampled radio transmissions from credit cards and passports. I am available to perform solo or ensemble. Contact me for more information.
